Starling Plumbing and Electric, Inc. has been a family-owned and operated business offering quality service to Statesboro and Bulloch County area for nearly 70 years. Starling Plumbing & Electric, Inc. knows the plumbing and electrical business. We acquire plumbing and electrical supplies of superior quality, enabling the best performance possible in our completed projects. Our primary goal is to offer exceptional service in the fastest time possible for an honest and fair price.
Their marriage lasted nearly 80 years based on one basic principle; “Put the Lord first.” It was the “secret” they shared with everyone who knew and loved them. Putting the Lord first was how Roland and Virginia did life, both in love and in business.
Roland Starling, Starling Plumbing & Electric, Inc. began as a one-man operation doing small plumbing and electrical jobs for friends and acquaintances. Roland Starling was trained in the plumbing and electrical trades while serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He lived the “American Dream” by starting with nothing and then building a business that has continued 2 generations following him.
Roland Starling believed a business was only as good as the relationships and trust it established. The reputation of his business spoke for itself and through the years the business expanded to include both residential and large commercial projects. When his son, Mickey Starling made the decision to join his father’s business, the name was changed to “Roland Starling and Son.”
In 1976 Roland Starling retired and handed the business down to Mickey Starling. The name was changed to Starling Plumbing & Electric, Inc. and moved to 211 Stockyard Road. The primary goal of Starling Plumbing and Electric has always been to satisfy each customer through excellent workmanship and exceptional customer service. Like his father before him, Mickey Starling placed the greatest importance on his employees and ensuring his customers were always satisfied. Under Mickey Starling’s leadership, the business grew and flourished in Bulloch County and beyond.
In January of 2017, Mickey Starling was proud to pass the family business on to his very capable son, Ken Starling. Although Mickey is officially “retired” from the business, he is still very present and comes in to work almost every day.
Ken has been working with his father nearly twenty years and is a licensed master plumber and electrician. He also holds a medical gas license. Ken Starling is proud of the family legacy he has been blessed with. He will continue to operate Starling Plumbing and Electric based on the same principles his grandfather laid the foundation for and his father built the business on. Starling Plumbing and Electric remains committed to providing excellent honest service and fair prices.

His daughter, Gin Starling McPhail, and her husband Jeff are next holding their daughter, Dru. Gin worked for the family business for many years.
